Tulip field in watercolor

After several starts and stops–and a holiday in between–I finally finished the painting that I started during my family watercolor fest. As per our challenge, I plan on adding ink details, but I like this painting so much as is that I wanted to share it with my readers–and save a copy for myself. Here’s a close-up view:

    • Thank you, Gabriel. Ever the careful artist, I printed out several copies and experimented with ink. After four tries, I finally settled on just a few touches of ink here and there. I wanted to keep the fresh, simple feel of the painting. I’ll be posting the completed painting–after I take a few more pics of it without the ink. I want to have one good digital copy for later use. Thank you for your comments.

    • Thank you, Cindy. Adding the two yellow tulips was an after thought, and I’m glad I did. I find pinks and yellows easy colors to work with. Blues and greens, not so much!
